Beltre comes to the Hub after a season ravaged by injuries in Seattle. Playing in just 111 games, the Sox's new man stationed at the hot corner hit .265 with a paltry 8 HR's and 44 RBI with the Mariners.
As unimpressive as Beltre has been at the plate with the M's, his best year came when he was wearing Dodger Blue back in 2004. That season Beltre hit .334 with 48 homers and 121 RBI, good for a second place finish in NL MVP voting.
Hall comes to the Red Sox via a trade with Seattle that sent first baseman Casey Kotchman to the Emerald City. Hall has played up to six different positions (3B, 2B, SS, LF, RF, CF) in his eight-year career with the Brewers and Mariners.
Hall's best season came as a member of the Brew Crew in 2006 with a .270 average, 35 home runs and 85 RBI.
