Retooling the Sox Part Two Infield

There is much talk that A Gon is a goner, I dont think the Sox want to pay his 6 million. Personaly I like the guy and think he deserves a shot again he played solidly following the SS du jour fiasco of this summer. Scutaro will get some attention other options, are Jack Wilson and Miguel Tejada who probably will resign with Houston. Lowrie will also get some serious attention although he needs to really step it up.

Mike Lowell is the big question in the infield. He carries an awful hefty salary for all his injuries. Hopefully the Sox will keep him around but the rumblings are the may be ready to unload his salary. Chone Figgins will draw some interest, he has a decent bat, can run, play multiple positions with third his best position and love the name. Adrian Beltre is another one of those high risk picks. If he can come close to 2004 well then watch out but alot of that came under scrutiny with allegations of steriods. He has a great glove at third. Coming off an injury plagued year might hurt his appeal to some clubs. I love Garrett Atkins and he would come fairly cheaply in a trade Rockies like Ian Stewart so the price could be right. He had 75 home runs between 2006-2008 would love to see him bounce some of the Monstah.
Everything else in the infield is set Pedroia, Youkilis/Martinez. However one Adrian Gonzales would make this team almost as good as the 2004 team wait it would make them superior. He might hit 50 home runs and would salivate looking at the Green Monster. If they dont have to decimate their team getting him look out Yankees we just passed you up.

Just more random thoughts in an off season where I have to put up with all my Yankee friends reminding me that Team Gotham won another damn championship.
